Great Debt Reduction Articles and Tips: Another Carnival
For the second time, we are proud to be the host for this week’s carnival of debt reduction. This carnival is all about reducing your debt, so articles that were off topic and did not follow the submission guidelines may have been left out.
If you are looking for debt reduction strategies or help, have a look at the fantastic articles from these very talented personal finance bloggers. You’ll find inspirational personal stories of debt, as well as some great tips on how to create your own debt reduction plan from people who have already done it on their own, as well as a few words of advice on debt reduction programs.
Here are the best submissions from this week’s carnival.
The Best of the Best
My personal favorite from this week’s carnival comes from Trees Full of Money, who submitted How My Family and I Paid Off Over $90,000 in Debt. If you think you are struggling with credit cards and unsecured debt, read how this guy paid off over $90,000 in non-mortgage debt! Very inspirational article.
Debt Tips submitted an awesome article about whether or not we should listen to Debt Experts. I found this article especially interesting since I just wrote this article about how Dave Ramsay is wrong about debt reduction help.
Christian Finance included a pretty interesting post about common debt situations and how to overcome them. Ryan from Debt Reduction Formula also included a good post about Car Debts – Driving Away from Debt.
More Great Debt Related Articles
Bucksome Boomer’s Journey to Retirement had an interesting post about how he needs to make a change in his recent spending habits and hold himself accountable. While posts like these don’t seem to get a lot of attention for the most part, they really do hold the key to successfully getting out of debt. Without making some real changes in your life, you won’t be able to reach your financial goals.
Personal Finance Journey has a recent post about paying off her student loans. I have to admit that I disagree with her conclusions in the article, but she did put some thought in to this well written article and, since it is on topic, I have included it in this edition.
And finally, Mr. Credit Card wrote a post debating whether or not you should just say no to credit cards. This article is well worth a read, and you might be surprised at the answer to this question.
That does it for this week’s edition of the Carnival of Debt Reduction. Unfortunately, I did have to leave out a few great articles that simply weren’t on the topic of reducing debt. If your article was not included, feel free to leave a comment or contact me and I will be happy to feature these articles in another post here.
